Bad Dream

Owen had a bad dream today and was sobbing in his sleep. He quieted a Little when i picked him up but he still took a while to wake up. It was so sad, my heart was being tugged hard. :(

Today, Owen had another check-up to make sure that he is gaining weight (at his 2 week appt he wasn't quite up to his birth weight). He is! He's now up to 8lb 4oz and is looking good! I had the dr check his circumcision (which my dr did a week ago friday, hard but we got through it. neither of us cried very much adn he's been doing great) and she said it was looking good and healing nicely. I got her to write him a prescription for Reglan to calm his reflux down and he got a shot as well. Poor guy! he cried more with the shot than the circ.! the girl who gave him the shot didnt apply enough pressure afterwards so when I got home I noticed blood stains on his pants and the bandaide was soaked. Then, after eating, a diaper change and a quick nap, we went to fill his perscription and bake bread at my inlaws' house. When we got there I felt mostness through his pants and looked down to realize he had exploded through his diaper, down the leg of his pants, on his shoe, on the blanket and my hand and shirt! Yikes!! I took him in, Stripped him down, used my last 1 1/2 wipes to clean him up and put our clothes in the wash. Luckily I had a jacket and an extra blanket I could wrap him up in. I also realized, after I got there, that I had forgotten my flour I had just ground at my house... no bread baking today. Good thing they have a TV with last week's shows recorded. Oh, well, this was an adventurous day. Oh, btw, anyone know a trick to get baby poop stains out of clothes?

After a short 10 hours and one hour pushing without an epideral, Owen Joseph Leazenby was born via Cesarean Section on March 21, 2010 at 4:22 pm and was 7 pounds 10 ounces, 19 inches. Both mom and baby are doing very well. We couldn't be prouder parents of such a perfect, beautiful little boy. Thank you mom, Becca and Josh for the love, care and support during and after labor; and thank you to the hospital staff and Dr. Park for your care and skill; and Thank you to all my family who took time out of their lives to care for me, Owen and the house during our first few weeks. I love you!

27 weeks

Here's the latest and best Ultrasound pics! It was so awesome to see him again and see him looking more like a baby than a skeleton. Enjoy!

Upper left: His forearm and hand. Upper Right: his face with his fist at his mouth; the top half of his face is in shadow so you can only see part of his nose, mouth and chin... look hard. Bottom Left: his spine. Bottom Right: his face again with his hand at his mouth and other hand waving.

Upper Left: his legs horizontally across the pic...hard to see. Upper Right: His heart, all four chambers are there. Lower Left: His cute little foot. Lower Left: his face, you can see his open eye.

Family Vacation 2009

We Recently returned (last night) from a little family Vacation to Northern California. Justin, Josh's Brother, his wife and son moved up to Stanford on Friday so we also went up to help them move in.
Then on Saturday we went to the Oakland Temple and did a session with Heather, Josh's cousin, then spent the rest of the day walking all over San Francisco. It was a blast!

Sunday, we went to church then started on our way down the coast to Monterey, CA. We stopped and walked around talking pics as we went. We saw lots
of JellyFish and a Ray in the Marina!

We camped that night in Big Sur then went to Carmel by the Sea and spent the morning walking around town and enjoying the beach. We then continued down the coast, stopping often to take more pictures of the beautiful coast.
We also made and unexpected stop at the Hearst Castle, which was rediculous! We loved being able to spend that time together and getting away from a time-constricted day-to-day schedule. This picture is the Medium sized guest house which has 18 rooms!
